Abstract

Mumbai is a metropolitan city, it seems like there is no caste culture present, but the truth is different and always back of the curtain. It is bitter for humans and called “Castism”. It is not just one issue there are many challenges in the heart of Mumbai. Mumbai is a city where men and women are equal, but in the job place, they are very conservative. There is no proper place for women in jobs, and if she is from a lower caste, there are various problems on her way. First, she is a woman, and secondly, she belongs to the deprived section. Especially, this is happening with deprived women employees every time than any other class group of women. So far these women have been rejected by the authorities citing various reasons for a higher post. In metropolitan, casteism is not open talk, but it is a hidden agenda of the mind of other caste groups. They should get rid of it as soon as possible, otherwise, Indian development and economy will be jeopardized because we are getting jobs and promotions on the basis of caste, not on our ability. Researchers are shedding light on it and pointing out the problems of the promotion of women from disadvantaged groups. These women are the backbones of the family and the nation. Therefore, the researcher shows how caste is an obstacle in the promotion of women from this deprived class.
