Abstract Common communication theory offering a systemic unique process of ways that information is disseminated and utilised in an organised manner throughout the academic and research organisations based on print and electronic means of information need. The library users smartly prefer to use nonprint or electronic resources in spite of traditional print resources which are quite stored physically in information centres or libraries in huge volumes in this smart age. Selection, organisation and information resources in medical college libraries explained that the meaning of importance and users need for the best practices in the field of library collection development process in all leading medical colleges and allied health science institutions. This theory of selection, organisation and utilisation method is effective by applying the process of conformity and to define such with the application of Ranganathan’s five laws of library science.
