Research productivity in higher education is gaining importance for the past one decade in India. Faculty members of the universities in India have two functions to perform, teaching and research. Research in universities has gained momentum during the past one and half decades, mainly due to support received through funding projects from major government scientific agencies. It can be stated by way of conclusion that faculty of University of Delhi has conducted large scale research during the past one decade, which has not only been published in high impact journals but has widely been cited by subsequent research scholars. Most of the research has been funded by different agencies, which again proves the high level of credentials of the faculty.
