Abstract Information repackaging (IR) services are specialised services which involve the process of collecting, restructuring, reformatting, organising and consolidating the information available in different sources for the benefit of specialised target groups. The present paper discusses the concept of IR and its applications in agriculture field. It presents the analysis and findings of a web-based study on the IR services in the institutions of Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The study can be used as a reference for understanding and introducing IR services in other research and development organisations also.
