Abstract This paper examines the use of web logs data to know patterns of use of web resources at a postgraduate college library in Kerala. Since the user surveys have inherent bias, this study explores the actual usage data to highlight the academic information seeking habits of users in the changed ICT environment. User preference to websites and trend in usage patterns in 3 years are analysed using ranking methods, longitudinal analysis, ANOVA and multiple comparisons using Tukey test. Dependency to institutional computer network for Internet use is found to be coming down as accessibility to Internet through affordable smart phones with low tariff connectivity is widespread among academia. The study concludes with a note on strengthening of print collections in libraries, along with a focus on online resources to make the hybrid nature of it intact for future.
