Abstract The paper intends to analyse the growth pattern of outputs in the computer science discipline using the data downloaded from Scopus International multidisciplinary database during the period 2007–2016. It analyses 2039 papers of IITK and 2053 papers of IITR published in the field of computer science and its sub-discipline by the scientists of these institutes. The analysis shows that the scientists of both the institutes prefer to publish their papers in international journals published from the United States, Netherland, United Kingdom and Germany and other countries of the West. Multi-authored papers predominate the pattern of authorship. Almost 42.34% of IITK and 44.23% of IITR papers remains uncited during the study period. More papers of IITK have been highly cited than papers of IITR. Top Keywords Computer science, Scientometric, Citation analysis, Impact Factor. Top |
