The following case report describes treatment of a female patient with bidentoalveolar protrusion with maxillary and mandibular anterior crowding, hyperdivergent growth pattern, convex facial profile and incompetent lips. The treatment was done by extraction of all first bicuspids and retraction using mini-implants as anchorage. Mini-implants were used to utilise the extraction space for retraction and correction of the facial profile. Efficient use of mechanics using mini-implants can provide absolute anchorage in such cases. Top Keywords Bidentoalveolar protrusion, Mini-implants, Hyperdivergent, Anchorage. Top |
