Abstract Metastatic disease to the jaws forms a small percentage of head and neck malignancies but they are a critical area of diagnosis because in a large number of cases the jaw lesion may be the only presenting symptom. Early detection and diagnosis of metastatic lesions may in many patients be the difference between a poor prognosis and a hopeless one. We present here a case of follicular carcinoma of thyroid metastasizing to the mandible and presenting as a unilateral jaw swelling. A case report is presented along with a review of literature.
