The development of new treatment options in periodontics and orthodontics, offer symbiotic ways in treatment of periodontally affected patients where the orthodontic treatment aims at providing functional occlusion and is strongly related to interactions of teeth with their supportive periodontal tissues. Much has been discussed about the role of orthodontic therapy in periodontics. Very few have discussed the vice versa.
