Online published on 24 January, 2018. Abstract Verrucous carcinoma is a variation of squamous cell carcinoma. It most regularly influences the oral mucosa with buccal mucosa being the commonest site involved. Clinically, it has proliferative finger like projections or a cauliflower like appearance which is its characteristic appearance and significant in diagnosis. It is commonly seen in tobacco users. The histopathological diagnosis of verrucous carcinoma is difficult and requires experience to diagnose a case of verrucous carcinoma. Verrucouscarcinoma is described as a benign lesion with minimum aggressive potential. Some longstanding cases have shown transformation into squamous cell carcinoma. Therefore, early diagnosis and surgical excision of the lesion are the most appropriate treatments modality of verrucous carcinoma. Top Keywords Carcinoma, Hyperplasia, Papillomatosis, Verrucous.
