Immediate implant loading - a successful approach

Abstract

The concept of immediate implant loading is not new. Many attempts leading to failure resulted in the dilemma between the success of immediate and delayed loading implants and sometimes contradictory. It is necessary to understand the factors essential for the success of immediate implant loading. Several studies conducted comparing the immediate and delayed loading implants revealed that immediate implant loading has several advantages over delayed ones. The clinical studies also demonstrated that for osseointegration to occur, important factors to be considered. This article gives an overview of all the possible factors to be considered for clinical success, the reason for failure and several advantages of immediate implant loading over the delayed ones. Hence, the purpose of this review is to provide rationale and analyze the factors influencing successful immediate implant loading approach.
