Abstract

Introduction

Forensic evidence plays an important role in investigation. One of the most reliable form of evidence in many criminal cases is DNA. DNA evidences can be collected from blood, hair, skin, saliva, etc. The value of the Y chromosome in forensic DNA testing is that it is found only in males. In this study, foetus of unidentified was studied and DNA was extracted from the samples. Missing of Y alleles on Amelogenin male samples are misinterpreted as females. To solve this problem Y filer kit is used to detect the marker G DYS458. Most of the child or foetus are dumped and aborted because of the sex of the child or there was abnormality in foetus. Quantification was done and Gene mapper ID-X Software was used for STR analysis.
