Online published on 19 December, 2023. Abstract Introduction Medico-legal cases (MLC) have showing a rising trend through out the world. Social conditions, geopolitical demographics and prevailing economic conditions have always been major factors determining their profile in any given society. The COVID-19 Pandemicbrought with it a special set of socio-economic changes affecting every aspect of our daily lives. As such, a retrospective study was carried to know the paradigm of shift, if any, in the pattern and profile of Medicolegal cases during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The study revealed that as compared to previous studies assault (44.64%) had superseded Road Traffic Accidents (37.5%,) with Poisoning (9.82%) continuing to be the third major cause. Male preponderance (70.53%) continued to persist. People with younger age group of 15-25 years (41.51%) were most prone to such causalities.
