Abstract

In the present investigation, screening of the antagonists and effects of their cell free culture filtrate of different antagonists viz. Acrophialophora sp., Fluorescent pseudomonas isolates 1,3,4 and Gliocladium virens, Gliocladium catanaltum Gliocladium deliguences, Trichoderma hamatam, Trichoderma harziamum and Tricho-dermaLkomngii were assyed for radial growth, biomass production and conidial germination in vitro. It was found that (at 1:3, 2:2 and 3:1 proportion of Potato dextrose Agar: culture filtrate) Trichoderma hamatam inhibited average of 26,03% of radial growth fallowed by Fluorescent pseudomonas isolate-4 25.08% and Fluorescent pseudomonas 25.5% respectively. The cell free filtrate of antagonist Trichoderma hamatam and Trichodermaviride were at par and reduced 52.0% and 50.98 % of mycelial weight respectively over control.
