Haematological changes in trichostrongylosis of calves treated with different anthelmintics Bandyopadhyay B., Dasgupta C.K. Department of Veterinary Parasitology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Mohanpur-741 235, India Abstract Haematological changes viz, haemoglobin (Hb) packed cell volume (PCV), total erythrocyte count (TEC), total leucocyte count (TLC) and differential leucocyte counts (DLC) were estimated in calves parasitized with trichostrongyle parasites. The calves were treated with three anthelmintics. The results were compared with that of non-parasitized, non-treated control calves. Different leucocyte counts remained unaffected during the experiment and the haemoglobin level and PCV level were low in drug treated calves.
