Of the 5 ocular coenurosis cases, only 1 had the involvement of brain, confirmed by clinical diagnosis, which had cysts located in the muscles and facia also, that was subsequently confirmed at post-mortem examination. There were differences in size and shape between the ocular cysts recovered and the cysts collected separately from brain. However, the number and size of rostellar hooks of ocular and brain cysts did not have any differences. A simple, effective and economical diagnostic and surgical procedure has been described for ocular coenurosis. Top Keywords Coenurus cerebralis, Brain, Goat. Top |
