Email: subhashkhode@yahoo.com Online published on 23 January, 2019. Abstract The use of open source software in libraries has been extensively researched and appreciated. Many papers have discussed the benefits of OSS for libraries and librarians. However, little has been known about those who do not use OSS in their libraries. This paper describes an exploratory study of the awareness and perception of open source software among non-users library professionals working in Indian libraries. The study also describes the opinions of non-users library professionals on various issues regarding open source software. The data were collected from responses of 144 non-users library professional of open source software. The findings of study reveal that non-user library professionals have well awareness and perceptions towards open source software even they are not using the same.
