Growth drivers of IT enabled banking in India: A study of scheduled commercial banks

The innovation in the field of the IT has changed the landscape of banking industry in India. Today information technology seems to be a prime mover of all banking operations. Electronic and information technology together are bringing the swift change in the way the banks operate, especially offering better delivery channels and customers’ friendly services. Anywhere banking, tele-banking, automated teller machines (ATMs), net banking, credit cards, debit card, smart cards, call centers, customer relationship management and datawarehousing have totally transformed the banking industry. The present study seeks to explore the drivers of IT-enabled banking in India besides giving the present status of IT-enabled banking in India.
