Records Management Programme in Nigeria: A Survey of Olabisi Onabanjo University Library, Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria Akinbode Rahmon O Onaolapo Olabisi Onabanjo University Library, Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria. Abstract This paper examines the creation, maintenance and use as well as preservation, protection and disposition of records in the Olabisi Onabanjo University Library, Ago-Iwoye. Questionnaire and observation methods were employed to accumulate data for the study. The study reveals that various categories of records are created and kept in the Library. The findings show that the records programme in the Library is okay but not yet complete. The paper therefore recommends that the Library should establish a central records centre, archives and provide necessary facilities like biological agent control and others for improvement of records management in the Library.
