Effect of Rhizobium inoculation and nitrogen on growth, dry matier accumulation and yield of black gram [Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper] Sharma Shivesh, Upadhyay R.G.*, Sharma C.R. Department of Microbiology College of Basic Sciences H.P.K.V., Palampur-176062, India * Department of Plant Physiology, College of Basic Science, H.P.K.V. Palampur -176062 (H.P.). Online published on 29 October, 2012. Abstract A field experiment was conducted during Kharif season of 1997–98. Application of nitrogen and Rhizobium inoculation significantly increased the plant height (cm) and drymatter accumulation (g/plant) at various growth stages of crop. The highest yield of black gram was noticed in local strain x N20 kg/ha treatment combination. Number of pods, clusters and branches per plant test weight and biological yield also increased to a great extent by the application of N20 kg/ha and RhizobIum Inoculation. Top | |
