Abstract

Communication technologies have ushered in the age of communication and information. The explosion of information enhanced the power and potential of mass media. Especially, television, the youngest but the most potent of the mass media of the twentieth century, occupies a prominent position in the field of communication. The potential of television as a mass communication medium in creating awareness, educating and motivating the people is unmatchable. Various researches reveal that television differs from other media in the way it can combine various kinds of information, better accessibility and has the potential to bring the learning materials to the masses in a more direct and personal way. However, Inspite of all this, one fact remains to be remembered that technology does not include human interaction nor can it replace the face to face technique. It can only supplement the human resources so that the students from all corners of the world can improve their skills.
