Abstract In the beginning part of the twentieth century, it was presumed that a person high on mental intelligence (IQ) will succeed in life. Later in mid 1990s it was found that a person high on emotional intelligence (EQ) with IQ being the same is bequeathed with the capacity to manage their own and others ’emotions better. Emotional Intelligence is considered to be a very formidable tool to an employee to manage relationships and achieve success at workplace. Towards the end of the twentieth century, it was highlighted that spiritual intelligence (SI), is necessary for elective functioning of IQ and EQ. People who are spiritually intelligent link their everyday life to their work. They seek value and meaning in their work and try to achieve desirable results. Thus, it seems like that people who are spiritually intelligent will be satisfied employees in workplace. Past studies and research have both highlighted the importance of Spiritual Intelligence and Emotional Intelligence in workplace. Objective. The present study aimed at evaluating the importance of Spiritual Intelligence and Emotional Intelligence among Professional women like Doctors, Undergraduate and Post-Graduate Teachers and Bankers and with respect to the age group, belonging from either below 40 years of age and above 40 years of age. Methods-Participants (N=180) were selected by using purposive sampling method, from an urban population. The respondents were subjected to two independent variables: Age Group (Belonging from the group of Below 40 years of age or Above 40 years of age) and Type of Professions (Doctors, UG/PG Professors or Bankers). Dependent variable was the scores on the scales of Spiritual Intelligence and Emotional Intelligence respectively. The scoring of results was based on the responses given on both scales. The results were analyzed by using a 2 × 3 factorial design. Results/Discussion: There is no significant difference on spiritual intelligence among professional women with respect to the type of profession and age group. There was significant difference on the dimensions of Self-Management with respect to the type of profession and the interactional effect between the type of profession and age group. There was significant difference found on the dimensions of Motivation with respect to the type of profession and the age group. There was significant difference found on the dimensions of Relationship Management of Emotional Intelligence with respect to the type of profession.
