Examines considers a range of definitions for a digital library from the perspective of the properties of traditional library. The present study explained about digital libraries, technology requirement for creating digital library and conversion of the documents into digital format. Digital library provide better services to users but this brings the changes and challenges in libraries. Finally highlights the basic changes and challenges in library due to digital library.
