Abstract A bibliometric study of articles published in Indian Economics journals 1999–2004 was carried out. On the whole, from five journals the total number of articles published is 1,153. 720 (62.44%) appeared as single author articles. Single author articles (62.44%) slightly outnumber multi-authored articles (37.56%). Out of the total 1153 articles published by 1525 authors during the period 1999–2004, 71.21% of them were published from India. Regarding geographical distribution (India) of papers majority of the papers published are from Delhi (268) followed by Maharastra (151). Top |
