Abstract This paper explains the influence of digital technology on information users of higher education and research centers in Mysore district. Higher education is a very important part of today's education. The digital technology has become a gateway to information and it forms the major support to higher education. The digital collections have become the integral part of teaching and learning process. An attempt has been made in this study to identify the user's literacy towards Digital technology, Digital tools, Information resources and services in higher education institutions and research centers.
