Abstract

Many institutions in India not have proper infrastructure facilities and have no access to latest scientific information. As a result, the performance of scientific community can be affected. Realizing the importance of digital information the libraries of advanced centers come forward to digitize their libraries. It is quit expensive to convert the conventional libraries to digital libraries. However, if properly planned a digital library would be more cost effective than the conventional library as enhanced technology would help to share, distribute and unlimited information access.
