Abstract

The Open Archives Initiative (OAI) develops and promotes interoperability solutions that aim to facilitate the efficient dissemination of research content. The ETDs (Electronic Theses and Dissertations) are gaining momentum worldwide due to the development of digital library technologies. The paper discusses about the concept of OAI, OAI compliant ETDs, Need for the development of OAI compliant National ETD archive.
