Abstract

Telugu is the second largest language to have many news channels next only to Hindi. With over 20 news channels competing against each other, their access to content, anytime and anywhere will be the critical factor for their success. Not just acquisition of video is enough, only when they have the content at fingertips and accessible within no time, they will be able to win over their peers. The transformation from linear editing to non-linear editing and from analogue to digital has brought in remarkable changes in archiving. The archival processes of capturing the video, storing, preserving, converting, moving and sharing have become simpler and less expensive. This paper maps the evolution of the Telugu news channels library in the last two decades
