Use Pattern of Consortium of e-Resources in Agriculture (CeRA) by Scientists in Selected Plantation Crops Research Institutes in South India Madhu K.N. Abstract This study assesses attitudes towards the use of e-resources available through CeRA Consortium and examines the current level of use of these electronic publications by scientists of selected Plantation Crops Research Institute in South India. A survey was conducted (January-March 2016), using questionnaire to collect data. This paper attempts to define CeRA consortium, its objectives and scope among scientists. This article explores that majority of the respondents (69.57%) was found to be using CeRA consortia resources and few respondents (30.43%) were not using the CeRA consortia. It could be observed from the analysis that Science Direct, Springer Link, Annual Reviews were ‘frequently ’used database through CeRA consortia by the scientists. Among the available various databases in CeRA consortium, Science Direct database use was significant at 5% with scientists ’gender, whereas Springer Link, Annual Reviews and CSIRO database use were not associated with gender and age. With regard to the experience, the Springer Link database use through CeRA consortia was found to be highly associated at 1% with scientists ’experience, whereas Annual Reviews, CSIRO and Science Direct use were not associated with experience.
