Abstract

The availability of electronic resources raised several issues in libraries for their management and use. To get full benefit out of these resources, content management (CM) is to be applied. The essentials of CM and objectives are discussed in this paper. The e-content development moving alternatives, archival aspects and open access are touched to understand the CM system. The CM software and applications in various platforms are also discussed.
