Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the awareness of knowledge and use of e-resources by agricultural and agricultural engineering faculties and scientists of Mahatma Phule (MP) Agricultural University for academic and research purpose. The objective of the study was to observe and examine the digital resources as well as the library resources for academic purpose, i.e. for research, teaching, paper presentation, imparting extension education to the farmers, general learning. The studies also examine the awareness and gauged the utility of the digital resources and services of the agricultural university. The study has observed that the most faculties and agricultural scientist among respondents of MP Agricultural University use the Internet. The main reason for this is that the Internet offers huge information which can be accessed more than other source of information retrieval easily and faster. The study shows that the MP Agricultural University, India should provide more computers to increase accessibility. Access to library resources should be improved by providing more digital information retrieval facilities and also providing the latest library collection.
