Online Published on 04 May, 2023. Abstract The present study was conducted to determine how the family environment affects the anxiety levels of adolescent females in a metro city Delhi. In all 96 adolescent girls aged 13-17 years having basic understanding of English language participated in this study. The sample was constituted from English medium high school in Delhi India, studying in class IXth to class XIth. For measuring level of anxiety and home environment, IPAT Anxiety scale and Sanjay Vohra’s family environment scale were used respectively. The data were analyzed by using Pearson’s correlation statistical technique. The major finding of the study showed that there is a significant relationship between anxiety and family environment and other dimensions of family environment like cohesiveness, expressiveness, independence, moral orientation, and recreational orientation. Whereas family variables like Competitive framework and organisation have no significant relationship with anxiety. Top Keywords Family environment, Anxiety, Cohesion, Expressiveness, Independence.
