Abstract

Trust is an important factor in flight simulation task. The level of trust impacts the performance of the operator. Performance has behavioural measures which include hit, reaction time and false alarm. The present study has taken reaction time as a predictor of trust. 20 participants participated in the study. A 2(Trust Level: 25%, 90%) X 3(Time block: 15 min each) a mixed factorial design has been used with repeated measure on last factor. Reaction time was recorded for each block and separately for both reliability condition. The obtained result showed that reaction time was more in high system reliability condition as compared to low system reliability. Further, the reaction time has increased across time period in both trust conditions.
