Abstract A series of novel pyrazoline derivatives have been synthesized known for their wide clinical applications such as antibacterial, anticancer, antifungal and antitubercular agents. Chalcones are known to exhibit interesting pharmacological activities like anti-inflammatory, antileishmanial, antibacterial, antitumor, antimalarial and antitubercular activity. A series of pyrazoline derivatives [Substituted 1, 5-diphenyl-3-(m-tolyl)-4, 5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole] were prepared from chalcones by the reported method, characterized by IR, 1H NMR and mass spectra. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for antioxidant activity studies. Most of the compounds have exhibited promising antioxidant activities.
