Online published on 14 June, 2022. Abstract Central nervous system lesions are a heterogeneous group of diseases including neoplastic and non-neoplastic. The incidence of CNS tumors in India was about 1.9% of all the tumors. Various studies have been done on CNS tumors across the India and world. Aim and Objective To study the different lesions in different age and sex group Grade wise analysis of lesions Analysed the lesions according to the site To study the non-neoplastic lesions. The aim of this study is to analyses the various patterns of CNS lesions and compare with the other studies Materials and Methods A retrospective analysis of CNS lesions are studied in the department of pathology, Saveetha Medical College and Hospital, Thandalam, Chennai, over one year from January to December 2019 Results and conclusion A total of 200 CNS lesions were analyzed, 98(49%) were males and 102 cases (51%) were females. The maximum age is 75 and the minimum age is 2 years. The most common lesions were grade I 79(39.5%) followed by grade II 16(8%), grade III 7(3.5%) and grade IV 15(7.5%) The study showed various histological patterns of central nervous system lesions in different age groups, location, frequency, and incidence.
