The literature claims that little attempt was made to extract from cladodes and other plant parts. The effect of dependent factors on the independent response was not attempted to be screened for. The effect of the dependent variable on the answer was controlled during the experiment's design by the Design Expert. The effect of independent variables (temperature and exposure duration) on the response (% yield) could also be evaluated by positioning, authenticating, and hauling out samples in the water. The extraction and exposure times are directly proportional, and the research found that 40°C is the best temperature for removing the substance from cladodes.
