Online published on 2 March, 2017. Abstract S. aureus enterotoxins are heat-stable enterotoxins that have serological types of A-V (except F). [1]They act as a potent gastrointestinal toxins and superantigens that stimulate non-specific T-cell proliferation. Although (S. aureus enterotoxin A) SEA and (S. aureus enterotoxin B) SEB are localized on separate domains of the proteins, there is a high relatiobship between their activities and superantigen activity. A sum of 20 clinical isolates of S. aureus was subjected to antibiotic sensitivity pattern followed by the detection of sea and seb genes codes for enterotoxins were determined by PCR. Increased percentages of resistance were noticed to most of the antibiotics. 6/20 (30%) and 4/20 (20%) of clinical isolate of S. aureus were found to have sea and seb genes respectively. we conclude that our strains has both sea and seb genes, which encodes for enterotoxins. To confirm their propensity to contribute them to food poisoning, it is recommended to screen for more number of isolates. Top Keywords Staphylococcus Aureus, Sea and Seb Genes, PCR, Enterotoxins.
