Abstract A two warehouse inventory model for deteriorating items with linear trend in demand with time varying holding cost under inflation and permissible delay in payments is developed. A rented warehouse (RW) is used to store the excess units over the capacity of the own warehouse. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the model and sensitivity analysis is also carried out for parameters.
