A Study of Career Maturity among Secondary School Students in Relation to their Emotional Maturity

Abstract

The role of education in the developing India is extremely critical. It is a well known fact that the human resources plays an important role in the development of a country. India is a young country. The population is very much concerned about their career and when the career is not settled as per expectations then frustration comes and many a time the emotional balance of the students get disturbed. Looking into this a study was done among secondary school students regarding their career maturity and emotional maturity. In the present study the random sampling technique a sample of 200 secondary school students was taken from C.B.S.E. affiliated schools of Rohtak District. It was found that career maturity among extremely stable male students is higher than extremely unstable male secondary school students where as in case of female students career maturity among extremely stable secondary school students is less than extremely unstable female secondary school students.
