Online Published on 27 February, 2024. Abstract Purpose To identify the leading organisation and to analyse the prominent journals and trends in the field of Indian Knowledge System. Design/Methodology/Approach This study employed a bibliometric analysis to assess the impact of organisation and journals in the domain of Indian Knowledge System research while identifying prevailing research trends. The analysis is done through a three-stage methodology involving the formulation of search criteria and the selection of databases, refinement of research criteria, data extraction, and the subsequent analysis and discussion of findings. Findings Influential organisation in Indian Knowledge System research include the ‘Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha, India’ followed by ‘The University of Melbourne, Australia’ and ‘Department of Political Science & Political Studies, Netaji Institute for Asian Studies (NIAS), Kolkata, India'. Prominent journals like ‘Economic and Political Weekly’ leads in terms of volume of publications followed by ‘International Journal of Academic Medicine’ and the analysis identified six major research clusters covering diverse aspects of this dynamic field, reflecting the multidimensional nature of Indian Knowledge System. Practical Implications The findings of this research, which identify influential organisations, journals, and trends in the field of Indian Knowledge System, can inform policy makers, educators, and researchers in India and globally about the relevance of traditional and contemporary knowledge systems in addressing societal and environmental challenges while preserving cultural heritage.
