Studying the Feasibility of Using Coaching In Iranian Oil Company

Abstract

This study has dealt with the employment of coaching in training and development programmes of Iranian Oil Company. The study employed a mixed method research in which qualitative and quantitative data were collected using interview and questionnaire. The population contains two groups of people; the first group consists of those t raining experts and scholars who had information about coaching and are familiar with coaching and the second group consists of the training department employees of national Iranian Oil Company. The quality section data of research have been analysed and for analysing quantitative data, one sample T-test was used. The findings of research indicated that form the perspective of the training department employees of national Iranian Oil Company, requirements for employing coaching have not been met and there were many obstacles. However, these employees reiterated that in case Iranian Oil Company conducts such a programme, it will have significant advantages for company.
