With the rise of the Internet and today’s interconnected, computerized world have come troubling new threats to privacy and personal information. Under the traditional view privacy was seen in the light of invasive actions of wrongdoers who cause directly injury to victims. In the era of social media, Big Data & other technological advancement privacy is seen in the light of surveillance, data protection, data security, control over personal information, privacy by design etc. The whole idea of privacy has changed radically in the digital age. In this paper different conceptual and legal dimensions of privacy which are changing in the era of social media, has been discussed.
