People constitute communities, in turn communities provide for the social, economic, political, religious, educational and developmental needs of the people. In presence of social cohesion among the community people assisted by well-planned public spaces, decision making to deal with community issues gets expedited. Public spaces offer scope for gatherings which are not limited to solve community issues only but serve recreational purposes also. With growing differences, excessive engagement in one.s own life, placing less importance to community issues as whole and shift of attention towards virtual spaces; the shared public spaces have lost its ability to maintain its identity. A nourished environment can assist in and provide the community people with many social, educational, recreational benefits and improve social cohesion.
