Response of cucumber to combined application of organic manures, biofertilizers and chemical fertilizers

Abstract

The present research was conducted to study the effect of combined application of organic manures, biofertilizers and chemical fertilizerson growth, yield andqualityof cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) at Students Farm, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad during rabi 2003 to 2004. The results of the study revealed that, application of vermicompost @ 2 t/ha + 50% recommended dose of fertilizers (50: 30: 30NP K kg/ha) + biofertilizers (Azotobacter and phosphate solubilizing bacteria each @ 5 kg ha−1) resulted inmaximum growth, yield and yield attributes with good quality cucumber.
