Abstract

Relations between Nations have often been characterized as a struggle for power and supremacy. In the midst of such competition, certain bilateral relations co-exist peacefully. India and Bhutan enjoy a 'special relationship', one which is warm and friendly. The friendship is deeply rooted in history, religion, culture and also in issues of common interest like security, politics, trade and economy etc. However, there are areas of concern.
