Abstract The corporate world is shifting its focus from a profit driven financial model to a competency based economy and a green economy. As the globe moves towards a green economy corporate responsibilities to go green have grown. The promotion of sustainable employee practices through the use of every employee contact is referred to as green human resource. Green human resource management has consistently been an vital strategy and the HR department is playing an active part in becoming green in the workplace. This is a new research area that is both fascinating and crucial to the creation and enhancement of sustainability of the natural environment. This paper discusses the concept of Green HRM, its organisational role and the HR area that could be manipulated in favour of environment. It is also covers the path to sustainability through Green HRM. To determine the influence of GHRM practices, tactics, and challenges in business and other organisations is the main objective of this research paper.
