Abstract In the changing scenarios of our country, where new schemes like “Make in India”, “Startup India”, and “Digital India” are taking the center stage, a small section of the society is still unaware of these mass movements because they live in an area which is isolated from the main stream. This work wants to drive the attention of the policy makers towards an ecologically, environmentally and socially sensitive area which is a remote and isolated wild life sanctuary. People are mainly dependent on the forest for their livelihood as they do not have access to basic infrastructural facilities like roads, electricity, education and health, leave apart digital connectivity. The current study focuses on assessing the major causes for poor development of this area and specially analyse reasons for limited infrastructure development of digitalization. Suhelwa wildlife sanctuary in Uttar Pradesh was selected as a sample to find the major causes of poor digital infrastructural development. The work analyzed the problems of the community through interviews, the collected data was further analysed using SPSS 21.0. Based on the results obtained, it was concluded that: remoteness, lack of government support, illiteracy and poverty were the major hindrances in getting access to smart phones and other digital devices.
