Politics and society in bangladesh dominant dimensions Prologue Kazi Sm Khasrul Alam Quddusi Abstract It is widely believed today that there is no alternative to democracy for the real development of a nation. For this however, political leaders of all complexions must come to a modicum of consensus. Militancy is also a problem that hinders development and needs to be dealt with through a sociocultural approach. As such, society must create an environment in which the younger generation is not easily led astray. The degradation of norms and values in society, the process of dehumanisation in politics and the spread of militancy in Bangladesh are the issues discussed in this paper. In-depth analyses and close observations have been used to gain a correct picture of the current scenario and suggest some durable solutions. Top | | |
