Performance analyses of autonomous hybrid renewable power generation for environmental protection with effective energy management controller

Abstract

This paper presents significance of managing power in a hybrid renewable power system for telecommunication industries to reduce CO2 emission and environmental protection. Absence of telecommunication devices per day is unimaginable in current trend. A solar -wind integrated renewable power system plays a vital role in renewable power resources to create a stand-alone energy source that is both dependable and consistent. In power systems apart from power generation, distribution of power without wastage is imperative. Fuzzy logic controller makes accurate selection of sources in right timing. In this paper Fuzzy Logic Maximum Power Point Tracking is proposed for solar and wind power system to provide a constant voltage with the help of DC-DC Single-Ended Primary-Inductance Converter. This paper proposes Fuzzy Logic Controller based Energy Management Controller to monitor the power generation from invidual renewable resources and load demand consistently and to regularize the performance of proposed system. Main objective of this paper is to supply uninterruptible power for telecommunication tower (BTS) loads from standalone power system with necessary backup system. The whole system is developed and tested using MATLAB/Simulink for different climatic seasons and load.
