Abstract Training is teaching, or developing in oneself or others, any skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies. In addition to the basic training required for a trade, occupation or profession, observers of the labor-market recognize the need to continue training beyond initial qualifications: to maintain, upgrade and update skills throughout working life. Training is required for different purposes like to meet job requirement, technological changes, organizational viability, internal mobility are some of them to be quoted. The objective of the study was to ‘identify & develop the training program for problem solving’ at Tata Motors ltd, lucknow. Questionnaire was used as a research instrument to get feedback from group leaders and team leaders. After the feedback of the employees through questionnaires and personal interview, it was analyzed that the employees requires or are interested in attending a new training program based on Problem Solving tools and techniques for Quality Improvement.
